"A good teacher wants their students to do better than them."
When choosing a personal transformation coach, keep the following in mind:
-Are they an authority in their area of expertise?
-Do they teach? If so, for how long? More importantly, how long have they been in their business before teaching?
-Have they taught for national/international organizations?
-What companies/organizations have they presented to?
-How long have they been in business?
-When you Google their name (such as “Devin Hastings”), what do you find? How many pages of information does Google offer?
-Are they recognized in some way? Nationally, internationally, what are their references?
-What publications has your coach authored?
-Does your hypnosis coach claim any degrees? If so, are they from properly accredited institutions? For example, Google “Huntington Pacific University” which awards doctoral degrees in hypnotherapy; it’s very enlightening.
Keep in mind that there is not a single, properly accredited school that offers hypnosis degrees of any sort so anyone claiming a hypnosis degree is not being honest with you. Especially egregious is if a person calls themselves “Doctor” because of a fraudulent degree. In fact, in many states, it is a criminal offence to use the title “Doctor” if the doctorate is received from an unaccredited institution.
-Finally, and most importantly, do you feel comfortable with your potential coach personally and professionally?
